FireWire In Action 1394: Under The Hood Products About the TA 1394 by Industry Events Press
 

EVENT SUPPORT FOR MEMBERS

The 1394 Trade Association is here to support our members in any way we can. Recognizing that many of our members participate in industry events that the TA itself does not attend, we would like to offer our support wherever we can.

A partial list of the types of support we can provide is included below. However, if there is something else you feel we can help with, please feel free to contact the Marketing Working Group and we will be happy to discuss it with your company's representatives.

PARTIAL LIST OF SUPPORT:

  1. Color copies of 1394 TA White Papers, articles, and press releases
  2. Notification of your event along with a brief description of any FireWire products or services you will be showing, your booth number, contact information, etc, on our new "Where to See FireWire" Events section of our new web site
  3. Posting of Press Releases on the site pertaining to your 1394/FireWire products and services
  4. Assistance in writing a White Paper specific to the event
  5. Assistance in assembling an industry speakers panel from among our members
  6. Cooperative advertisement placement in a show publication

We are also developing on-line Events leading up to important industry conferences to publicize applications of FireWire in different industries. These on-line events will highlight exciting new products and developments within an industry over a period of days or weeks prior to an event. Please contact us well in advance of an event to explore this and other opportunities.

MISSION

The 1394 Trade Association actively promotes the proliferation of the IEEE 1394 Serial Bus standard technology into the computer, consumer, peripheral, and industrial markets to enable a truly interoperable, standardized, universal I/O and back plane interconnect.

The 1394 TA provides members the opportunity to achieve this mission. We organize and hold Quarterly Meetings and Developer's Conferences, and attend Tradeshows and related seminars as a means by which the members can work together on the use of IEEE 1394 to expand all target markets
