1394 Trade Association Sets First-Ever Meetings in Taiwan
Seminar, Compliance Testing on Schedule for Nov. 13-17 Session
Dallas, Oct. 25, 2007 – The 1394 Trade Association will hold its first ever quarterly meeting in Taipei Nov. 13-17, hosted by a quartet of leading Taiwanese companies and featuring a 1394 seminar for the industry.
The week-long meeting, which brings together leaders of the 1394 (FireWire) technology from around the world, will be hosted by Comoss, Elka, ETC, and MainSuper, and will be held at the Landis Hotel. For more information visit the quarterly meeting page.
As part of the meetings, a Compliance and Interoperability Workshop begins on November 12. All companies are invited to participate with no charge. All products that pass will be eligible for the FireWire/i.LINK 1394-compliant logos.
In addition, a 1394b Design Seminar will be held Friday, Nov. 16 beginning at 1 PM. It will feature the following topics: 1394 market update (both 1394a and 1394b), 1394 Compliance Program, signal integrity testing, board layout for 1394b, cable power for HDD, add-ins, host adapters, and motherboards, and the correct assignment of GUIDs.
